A new blog, build it and they will come, where to start... etc. Well just a basic hello and is this working type post as I'm off to play football in abouve five minutes.

Something that has really got on my tits today is the news that Sol Campbell has been summoned to an FA disciplinary hearing only hours before flying out to Turkey for England's make or break Euro 2004 qualifer.

Now I'm no Goooner (just don't get the Islington vibe), and I'm also not the greatest Union Jack flag waver. But isn't this appalling timing?

The poor guy has recently lost his dad and has not had the best of starts to the season. But to summon him to face the designer suits at Soho Square literally hours before the Welcome to Hell of Turkey?

Are the FA actually supportive of the England team?
